about . . .

I am mostly self taught.  For years I worked solely by commission but realised this was holding back my creativity.  I still take occasional commissions but now produce works from my heart and imagination.

My preferred subjects are our native Australian animals, farming life and whatever takes my fancy!  I diverge between absolute realism and whimsical cartoonish works depending upon my mood.  Some works take half a day, some more than three weeks to complete.

My paintings are held in public and private collections in Australia, the USA, Canada, the UK and Saudi Arabia.

The TAB commissioned a painting as a gift to their equivalents worldwide.  Other works have featured on the front cover of Australian publications including Australian Artist magazine, the Arabian Horse News and the Animal Welfare League.

A book "Captured in Time" by Gigi Grasso is a sold out limited edition book of Arabian Horses in Australia.  This work is liberally illustrated by my works.

I exhibit works intermittently and have won many firsts, most successful exhibitor and peoples choice awards.

To the right is an acrylic painting of one of my dogs, Gracie, titled  "Art Critic".  She features twice in the website.  See if you can find her . . .
